WHMCS Staff Knowledgebase

Knowledgebases are great for storing and sharing information, how to guides, company information, basic server layouts, etc, but some articles should not be available to the public. With the staff knowledgebase addon module for WHMCS, you are able to keep your internal KB articles separate and private from your public WHMCS knowledgebase.

Features:

  1. Categories – organize all your articles in to buckets
  2. Sub-categories -- buckets within buckets!
  3. Articles can be assigned to multiple categories
  4. Per category role permissions
  5. Per article role permissions
  6. Parent articles – have an article that extends another article? The parent article links one article to another and the parent article is shown on “child” article’s page.
  7. Uses the same text editor as the native WHMCS knowledgebase, which allows you to setup lists, bold text, or increase font sizes without using html markup.
  8. No client side access
  9. Keyword search that allows for searching keywords within the body of the article and title as well as exact matches on keywords.

Requires:

  1. WHMCS 8.2+ - may work earlier versions as long as PHP 7.4 is also used
  2. PHP 7.4 and above - 8.1 supported

NOTE: This module uses a similar database table setup as another module by the same name and different developer. We used that module internally and it needed to be replaced since that module was not being updated. As such, this module will read the other module’s categories and articles, but not other features like private articles as they were not in use. If you require those features, let me know and I will see what can be done.
